The Cubbies are making me very nervous. I know, I should spend my worries on the sorry state of US affairs in the world or other more worthy thoughts. And I do worry about these things. The Cubs make me realize that my worry is limitless and that deep down, it's not "just a game." It's a game that I've spent countless hours watching, one that I've devoted a decent portion of my life to obsessing over. A game that, for my team, never really ends well.
So now we're two games up with four games to go, and I'm just hoping that the boys can keep their eyes on the prize. Dave and I are going to Cincinnati this weekend, and we'll see the Cubs play the Reds on Saturday. Maybe we'll see them clinch the division, maybe we'll go home crying. Either way, I'll keep watching because I love these guys, and true love last a lifetime.
So send your good ju-ju to the Cubbies! They can use every bit of it.

We need all the ju-ju we can get...... Yikes, it's gonna be fun/scary.
let me try that abomination of typos again...
if Bar and I going to our hometown team's stadium (Reds)wearing Cubbies gear and rooting for them doesn't give them ju-ju... I dunno what will.
