Great weekend, bad game!

We had a great time with our friends Joe and Xiaowei, who came in this weekend from Chicago for our self-proclaimed Louisville Festival of Funness. The Colts, however, quickly dashed our hopes for a perfect weekend with the worst performance ever against the Chargers.

I know that Adam Vinatieri should have made that field goal. I know! But in the interest of being fair, let's not place blame on the slippery, rain-soaked cleats of the kicker before properly acknowledging Peyton Manning's six thrown interceptions. Poor Adam shouldn't have to shoulder this shame alone.

In other news, Dave and I have embarked upon our year-long adventure of watching the American Film Institute's top 100 movies of all time in order from 100 to 1. We started with the first disc (yes, it's so ridiculously long that they couldn't fit it on 1 DVD) of Ben-Hur, number 100. It's a great movie so far, and I hope we'll get to the second half today. I get the sneaking suspicion that Pontius Pilate is going to end up as a bad guy....
