The Kitties Are Here

We were so pleased to spend time with Pam and Keith (Mom and Dad Pflum) this weekend. They came yesterday, bringing lots of goodies in the van, including our two long-lost felines, Sylvester and Earl. For those of you who don't know the drama, the little darlings weren't welcome by management in our Chicago apartment, so P&K stepped up and housed them for more than a year. This left them with a total of 5 cats and their little energetic bundle of joy, puppy Daisy. Despite being labled by neighbors and friends alike as "Crazy Cat People," they took care of the boys like loving surrogate parents. Thanks Pam and Keith!

So the kitties seem to be adjusting well, though we're sure they miss their animal and human buddies in Lafayette. We had a great time with Pam and Keith, playing some serious late night Wii and cooking beer can chicken on the grill. We were sad to see them go this morning.

Tonight we're going to see Harry Potter. Dave continues to allow me to drag him to these films, despite his general lack of interest. The things we do for love...

Enjoy what's left of your weekend, everyone. Think good thoughts for my friend Kristin, who is about to burst with her second baby and feeling a bit uncomfortable. Hang in there, Kris!
