It's rare that I admit that something confuses me, but I don't mind telling you that I don't really understand tax returns. I mean, I understand what taxes are for, and that we wouldn't have schools or a fire department (state and local), or an endless war of mass destruction (federal) without them. What I don't understand is why it's always such a surprise when we get our tax documents back from the accountant. We could owe a billion or be owed a billion, and I never know why. It's like playing the freaking lottery every time we open that envelope.
And I know you're supposed to be happy when you get money back, but that really ticks me off! I would rather keep my money throughout the year than give the government my money to play with tax free. Grrrrr....
In other news, we finally got a universal remote to replace the six remotes we were using daily. So you can all rest assured that you'll finally be able to work our TV when you come to visit.

There is another option. Just don't pay taxes and then everyone else will pay for a roof over your head and three meals a day. I think free cable too!
Congrats on the new remote. I heard that if you punch in up-down, up-down, left-right, left-right, A-B and then start, it will make you breakfast in bed :)
I'm a dork.
Luv ya!
